Through this artwork I have explored the fantasy of what if the snow crystal captured what it witnessed. A memory frozen within its heart that blooms into its structure and colors. Titled 'FUSION' the artwork portrays the fusion of the electric current with an object. The current passes through the outer structure slowly seeping to the inner core. This transition is frozen within the crystal.
The artwork is made up of 21 layers of intricately cut paper. Each layer is stacked on top of another adding to its depth. It comes alive under the spell of light, revealing its true dimensional value. Enjoy the 2D illusion from afar or come closer for the 3D experience.

ART PROCESS
The artwork goes through a painstakingly long design process.
● Starting with design conceptualization and how best to portray it.
● Then weeks of drafting, layering and experimenting with color combinations.
● Followed by converting the 2D designs into 3D.
● After this the final cutting and layering is done and the paper sculpture is complete.
A high level of precision and concentration is required as even a small error could lead to redoing the entire design.
